Jennie Oppenheimer, LMFT
Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist
I work with children, teenagers, adults, families, and couples — through conversation, and sometimes through more creative routes when words aren't quite the right door. Kids and teens often open up more easily through play or creativity. Adults find that putting an inner experience into an image can surface what talking alone hasn't reached. Couples sometimes need a small, playful shift to get out of a circular conversation. Even though I am a creative and artist by nature and training, plenty of my clients never pick up a paintbrush — most of my work is steady, grounded talk therapy, human to human, relationally attuned to what you bring through the door.
What I love most is watching a shift in one person ripple outward. A child softens, and the whole house feels different. A parent finds more ground under them, and their kid notices. One person in a couple takes a small risk, and something between them starts to move. The work rarely stays with the person sitting across from me — it travels.
I'm a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist trained in EMDR and Trauma-Informed Care, with a background in the arts and SoulCollage® facilitation. Whatever brings you in, I'd love to hear from you.
